Problems changing connections: This application requires a connection to be performed

I had to change the connections (due to moving to a new server) and used express edit to do this. Since then I have repeatedly been getting the error message:

“This application requires a connection to be performed. The connection is still not set. To change it please go the SQL option in the left menu, and edit the Connection”

I’ve been into the SQL left menu section and re-selected the connection I want.
I’ve also tried selecting another connection and regenerating and then choosing the one I want.
I’ve also tried setting it to no connection and regenerating and then selecting the connection.
I’ve tried express edit and individually editing the connections and bulk editing.

The MySQLconnection itself works - I’ve tested it and some applications work fine. It mostly affects security and form applications.

Any ideas?

I had EXACTLY the same problem. In the end, I had to recreate the applications from scratch and they worked fine. I did report this as a bug and was prompted that it may be something to do with the Log Module so I would suggest anyone else who finds this checks both the connection AND the log module (as import/export copies settings from the original application).

I have a feeling that re-setting the new application to the new Log Module is whats needed, but have not been able to test it out.

I have the same problem. Changed connection but SC9 complains that connection is not set. Right now no matter what connection I choose I get (no connection setup Error).

Can you be more precise. I really do not understand what you mean by:

OK, I did that and it helped for one project. There is however another project which we work on and this one does not use LOG at all. I tried everything possible but so far nothing works and I keep getting the same error. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING and basically prevents me from working on a project. We can’t just recreate 80 Apps again to make it work.

Is there any workaround that problem ???
