Re-Install - recover project

Hi,

The hard drive on my dev-server recently filled up, and whilst cleaning the hard drive I accidently deleted the scriptcase install. It appears that the projects are still present.
Unfortunately, I deleted the project backups whilst cleaning the drive.

I’ve downloaded and re-installed the latest version of Scriptcase, but when I open scriptcase no projects are evident.

The old projects are shown in
/var/www/html/scriptcase/apps

I’ve found the new script case install is now located in /opt/NetMake/V9-php73/wwwroot/scriptcase

I’ve copied the folder to the new directory, but it doesn’t appear in the projects when I open a project.

Is there a way to force scriptcase to recognise the project?

Regards
Craig

As an addition, I found the original nm_scriptcase.db and copied it over to the new install (first, I backed up the new install nm_scriptcase.db).

Only issue now is that I can’t log in because I had to generate a new scriptcase licence for the new install, and the old db file obviously has the old file. When I try to log in, it just takes me back to the login screen.

I’ve got a sqlite browser, if I knew which field held the scriptcase registration number, I could manually update it, but the database is in Portuguese!

Anyone know how else I can proceed?

I’d like to say a big thank you to NetMake. I had a really good experience with NetMake support. I posted a support request and someone got back to me by email with some steps to try, none of which worked, so they booked a remote session.

The support technician was very helpful, patient and persistent, and after about an hour of trial and error, managed to get me a working copy project. I think the problem was one of several factors, so probably the most important reminder from the process is: Backups!!!

Thanks to João for his patience and for getting my project back.

Regards
Craig
