Record counter is not displayed

Record counter is not displayed in bottom toolbar for Grid application if “Dynamic group by” is used and no column is selected for grouping. When any column for “Group by” is selected record counter is displayed. If option “use Dynamic group by” is unchecked record counter work OK, but “Summary” module must be checked!

Also, foreign characters in labels of fields for “Group By” is not displayed correctly (probably used UTF-8 instead code page selected in project).

Note: Application is converted from SC8. In SC8 everything work OK!

Thank you to confirm. If developers from Scriptcase want I can put some images but I think this is enough that you confirmed my statement.

This is illustration of second problem I mention before - wrong code page in fields label of Group by option:

None of the above has been corrected even after 9.0.004 build! :mad:

It seemed like trivial problems that do not require a lot of effort to correct.

Do you need additional explanation of the problem or new evidence that they exist?

Hello,

The problem displaying the rows counter, using dynamic group by, has been fixed in update 9.0.004. Try to clear your browser cache, if it persists, I suggest that you do a manual update.

About the CHARSET problem, I need some information:
1 - What is the database you are using?
2 - What is the CHARSET of your database?
3 - What was the connection driver you used in the project connection?
4 - What language are you using?
5 - What is the CHARSET that your language is using?
6 - If you view the source code of the generated page, what is the CHARSET displayed in the HTML <head>?
7 -What is the encoding that your browser is detecting when you access the page?

Thank you for your fast response this time.

My project and database settings are:

  1. I use Firebird SQL v2.5.6 64-bit on Windows 10 Pro (x64).
  2. I use WIN1250 CHARSET in database.
  3. I use Firebird connection (not ODBC).
  4. I use Bosnian language (because there in no Serbin latin language).
  5. I use CP1250 (WINDOWS-1250) CHARSET in my projects (same as in my database).
  6. There is “charset=WINDOWS-1250” in HTML <head>
  7. I don’t know, but everything is displayed OK (column labels, fields contents, “sort by” labels), except fields labels in “Dynamic Group By” (UTF-8 instead WINDOWS-1250).

I tried to update again this evening (Options->Settings->Update->Scriptcase Update) and after successfull update the problem with record counter disapeared.:slight_smile:

BUT

Problem with the wrong charset of fields labels in “Group by” is still present (see my project and database settings above and pictures in previous comments).:frowning:

I repeat in CS8.1 this labels was displayed OK.

I bought a new laptop. I did a fresh installation. No record counter displayed. How far should I go.
What has been impoved is the speed of saving and compiling. I donot have to wait …but that is due t the new hardware I think.

I have the same problem though I’m not using Dynamic group by! I can’t see Rows Counter in any grid
