Guys,
I’ve read that Canonical is struggling about replacing MySQL in coming Ubuntu’s releases so have you also started to think about that?

MariaDB is a drop in replacement for MySQL. That doesn’t actually bother me. What do you mean to say with your remark? SC is a database independent tool so?
Sorry Albert, i did not express my question correctly
What I meant was simply that Netmake is selling their different range of products based on what kind of DB we are using to (MySQL professional edition, PostgreSQL prof edition…) so my question was about if they have in their future portfolio of products a MariaDB professional edition or they will replace the MySQL edition by Maria DB one for instance.
Hope this clarifies
Well SC needs to answer that of course. But imho, as MariaDB is a compatible plugin, I would expect that you can use the mysql edition and connect to MariaDB. If you need this explicit I suggest you contact support of SC for this. I’m just a customer
I also use MariaDB with no issues. Love it.
