sc_apl_conf macro NOT working with editable grid view form

I tried to open an editable grid view form in “INSERT” mode by placing sc_apl_conf (“myform”, “start”, “new”) at OnApplicationInit event but it doesn’t seem to work.

It worked for regular form but NOT editable grid view. Any one got this to work? How?
