Scared to update

hi there,

after a couple of problems with updating scriptcase (cost me about a day to get thing right again, and a small hart attack every time)

a question. if you update, and it goed wrong, can an import of a backup get the things like they used to be or do you still have the same problems.

e.g. what is a good solution to go back to an older version.

for example after the last update i did 9.6.006 all my forms give an error when i try to open them directly in the development environment. if i open them from a menu or trough a link in a grid no problem. not only annoying but also problematic if you use a lot of vars to test and try out . btw. a new produced form has these problems not at all. (same with blank apps and control forms)

I just update to new version 9.6.0007 and i have a lot problems.

i have a project working with old version from SC. and now, when i try run login control no execute nothing.

Pfff… Wel good Luck with it. No sollution add hand?

For what it is worth, I run SC inside a virtual machine (using VirtualBox). I perform a quick one-click snapshot before I upgrade or do anything that could corrupt things.
After update, I test everything. If it doesn’t look good, in two click I revert my snapshot. No sweat. No stress.
