Scriptcase 9 - are we getting a user-editable table for language text?

I watched the video introducing the new SC9.
Some of the features look nice.

I am hoping that the new version also contains improvements in the basic operation of Scriptcase.

Language:

 • Are the language texts at last going to be in a table?
 • Will the user be able to edit and import these?
 • Are you going to cater for English being more than one language? USA English (e.g. "color") is different to UK English ("colour") and Australian English!

Also:
In the SQL builder:- will you now have an option to list the fields in alphabetic order? This would make choosing the fields much easier and quicker.

I second that. I realy would like to see the feature that end-users or other parties can maintain the translationtable in stead of needing access to the development environment. But afaik it will not be in 9 :frowning:

Thanks Albert.

If this is not included in V9, then I have to wonder if user requests and suggestions are taken seriously by Netmake.

Please Netmake, implement this!

Well, I have proof that some issues where taken serious as we have reported security issues which where fixed. I.e. the new features in the security section are part of that. There have been more fixed issues. There will always be discussion about features to implement. We create multi langual applications, but I guess most of us don’t .

It is needed for single language applications also. For example, English words are spelled differently in different countries!

Example:
USA English (e.g. “color”) is different to UK English (“colour”) .

I know. Scriptcase generates php translation tables from the sqlite table. Imho it shouldn’t be too hard to create a scriptcase application to maintain this, but so far it’s not there…
