Ext is very nice, and it would be nice to have built in support, but you can implement this yourself as well. ExtJS is client side and it just needs PHP to feed it data. Load a blank app and have at it. If it were included, it would drive the cost of SC up as it would have to adhere to ExtJS license.
These are 2 different animals. I am not sure you would want all the overhead of SC in an app designed with ExtJS.
