Security with LDAP

I am looking to put security on my application but have some questions. I want to use LDAP but I am unsure which option would be be best. I want have the application available to everyone on the Intranet but only with view access or some sort of group access with out having to setup everyone in the security setup, and others I want to have admin access or just some functions like update but not delete or export options.

Documentation is limited from Netmake on this topic.

What does LDAP Authenticate only do for me?

What does LDAP Total control do for me? (I think this is the option I want to use, but unsure how to setup specific groups without adding everyone to the security.)

Which option should I use to accomplish my goal mentioned above, or is there another option?

Hi Dr Tim,

I’ve tried LDAP security and works fine with SC. LDAP authentication with total control gets all users you select from the LDAP server tree and saves in a security database table. By Default all users aren’t allowed to any SC app. Admin user must give access to every user for the selected apps from security form.
