[FONT=inherit]Connection problem * .mdb * .accdb on Linux Debian, Despite that I applied the tutorial available on Webhelp and knowledgebase without success.

scriptcase is great as tools but the migration of my databases does not suit me.
Is there any solution ?

[FONT=inherit]Hello!

As stated on our live chat, the Access connection won’t work on Linux based systems.

Cheers!

haha :stuck_out_tongue: Yup I paid for “support” too. Once bitten…:cool:

@NetMake: if you know it won’t work please update the SC manual accordingly.

Right now by reading the manual it seems something easily doable: http://www.scriptcase.net/docs/en_us…ess-using-odbc

Thanks Robydago for answering
I have already Applied all the tutorials available on scriptcase websites and videos
I tried to manually install scriptcase Gives internal error 500 When It is Supposed to start the install … I have Tried to go directly to the .php file system Without success
While knowing that I am neither amateur nor beginner, I have already used scriptcase before and I can say except this pb is great as a tool
The only one test works when I configure the /etc/odbc.ini and /etc/odbcinst.ini files but then I get the following message: Error accessing the database:
Could not parse SQL

HAVE you any ideas please, i can’t nor migrate the databses nor change OS :frowning:

I tried but I failed:

http://www.scriptcase.net/forum/forum/main-category/main-forum/73939-scriptcase-on-linux-trying-to-connect-to-ms-access-db-extension-not-loaded

In the past the only way I was able to access mdb data was: SC on Linux configured to access a mariadb server running on a windows server. The mariadb server on Windows was accessing the mdb file directly via the ODBC drivers for Windows. But it requires two servers (one linux + one windows), it’s time consuming to set up and it has limitations. That’s why I tried to access the mdb file directly on the Linux box.
