there are providers in internet which do the following :
They get an email (from Scriptcase) and they convert this into an SMS-Message and then send this message …
That’s the way we send SMS…

again,
you can’t send a SMS, you must search for a provider in your region who offers this service.
You send a MAIL… the provider converts it to an SMS

I think, was too much for a SMS. The next SC version wish there was a module to send SMS.

It is easy to send sms with sc!
The providers we use in the UK are
http://www.2sms.com
http://www.dynmark.com
both provide email gateways as well as webservices which you can send an authenticated soap request to plus you can just POST to their servers with all the data and they will send. They will give you a confirmation code that the SMS was send as well in return.
Its really not a problem.
