Show Emoji on Grid Field

I’ve tried to show an emoji on a grid field with no result.
Made a new text field as {connIcon} and write some code for OnRecord as

if ({connected}==1)
{
{connIcon}=“:white_check_mark:”;
}
else
{
{connIcon}=“:x:”;
}

but connIcon column shows “?”

Any ideas are welcome.
