if the file-ending of an upload file is 4 letters … nothing happens and nothing is uploaded.
Has anybody the same problem ??

Yes, I use the latest version … but all further details are in the ticket…
I wanted to know where there other users with the same problem.
Somtimes it’s a proble of php.ini configuration or something else…

Yes, i got the same problem,
cant upload single files and images using Control Applications since scriptcase 7.001 7.002 7.003 and my users cant upload files on all the applications, thats annoying. Multiple files works but Single files dont (on Control apps)!.

I’m a litte bit astonished that such bugs pass the internal quality control of SC team…
I myself had a job for testing software in my company and we used QTP from Hewlett packard to test our software to garantee high quality before delivery.
I think SC must improved the internal tests…

I have the same feeling. Also I think that the betatest should be more thorough. It’s a repeating of steps as I have put my opinion on this in some other thread, but in general I simply think that quality pays off, even if it costs speed of product development. That being said I would suggest that:
- roadmap to be discussed with some core people within SC and selected heavy users
- alpha to be tested by SC
- beta to be tested by the core people of SC and selected heavy users
- if most issues are fixed an announcement that the new version is comming
- release by RC variants
- final release
I had a chance to look into version 7 around early january, to find out that I could not import some of my projects and that there were serious issues. Couln’t go on. Reported this and then I had to wait for the release.
Besides this, I think that SC should consider to allow more than one instance of a version on a development system. I’ve had issues that after an update some things where broken, which is bad news to my customers, because I can’t deliver. Of course I have my backup’s, but this is a real serious issue to address.
I love scriptcase, and I’m doing my best to promote it here in NL and around. But there are issues which needs to be done better. Then we won’t have a great product, but a superb product. And I’m sure these and support issues can be solved! I’m in close contact with some people of SC and have had several discussions regarding this. It’s not that SC is unwilling, but changing organisation simply takes time.
I don’t have this problem with V7, single files are working with .docx or .xlsx (abcd123.docx ; azerty999.xlsx for exemple) with Google Chrome.
But if the file name has a “special” character like japanese character, upload is not working.
I’m working in japanese with mysql and SJIS charset (database and Scriptcase).
Japanese filename upload is working with V6.
I’m really disappointed with V7, i can not continue to develop and deploy my applications with this version and my company paid this “upgrade” (or downgrade for this moment).
Little question : How “multiple upload” is working ? I know it’s a new V7 feature (one of the reasons to upgrade to V7) but i have not found how it works ???. I’m interested about multiple filename upload.

I recommend you to use this app included in “Samples 2.0” project template.
Go to your ScriptCase->File->New Project->Select a template->Samples 2.0
To view online:

You will see the configuration, what type of fields are required in your database and so on.
Some things are not explained in sc documentation about multiple upload, thats why is better to see an example.
