[SOLVED]ScriptCase V8 Mobile deployment CRTICAL ISSUE

Hello everyone,

Me and my dev team have been working on a really interesting project in the past months. The project is about a sport social-network. It has been recently made available to the general public. You can check it @ http://sportaround.me.
We have developed the whole project using the ScriptCase framework and we are very very satisfied with the result obtained. Now we’ve decided to move a step forward and make available the application also for mobile users. Our goal is to realize an app exploiting the already existing and working web framework, since the new version of ScriptCase (V8) gives the possibility for the applications to automatically adapt for mobile. The application works flawlessly on local framework. However when we tested it online we noticed a CRTICAL ISSUE. It seems that in the deployment process of the application ScriptCase doesn’t update the paths for the mobile forms (leaving these stuck on the local ones). We consider this as a CRITICAL ISSUE as it is preventing us from going on on the mobile app development process.
We hope this issue gets solved as soon as possible since , once again, we consider it CRITICAL.

I haven’t had a look into SC8 yet, but try to do an advanced deploy. There you have the opportunity to set directories. But I don’t know if it will help you, again I haven’t been able to look into SC8 so far.

i have converted sc7 project to sc8. my project is working fine on pc but on android browser i am getting an error of ‘unauthorised user’ for form and control application. whereas grid and other apps are working fine. it would be really greatful if someone can give the solution on this. earlier once i had similar kind of problem when the app was installed on sub domain. but this time its loaded on direct domain. web is ok… but mobile is problem. thnx in advance.

Thanks for signaling the error. This has basically to do with us trying to find a workaround for the mobile issue described above. We have fixed it now.

We already tried the advanced deployment but the paths which the issue refers to stay unchanged.

Thanks for fixing the issue. However an acceptable mobile support has been achieved only with SC 8.0.003

Here is a shortlist of the BUGS we found on the MOBILE version of our application compiled with SC 8.0.003.

  • AJAX Events on Forms are no longer working (as in the previous versions)
  • Updating a record on Forms not working, AfterValidation/Update an empty AJAX Error Message box is showed
  • In the Calendar application, the Form to add a new Event doesn’t show the Toolbar
  • The Calendar application doesn’t show new Events created

Will full mobile support ever be achieved or it remains a mirage??

hi guys, this is to confirm that even until version 8…005 now, today, the form in signle record, does not update, when you click a save it seems like updating bu there is no actual response… nor redirection, and the record still there, no updates…

one thing i noticed when enabled the debug mode, there is SELECT (*) FROM… WHERE (id=0) !! mabye it is not able to locate the record to update it? just a though, because IT IS WORKING FINE ON DESKTOP VERSION

this is important and urgent, please fix

We are still improving the mobile on Scriptcase, we are going to release news about the menu this week and on grid probably on the next week, we will never stop implementing new stuff about mobile, if you guys have any suggestion, please let me know.

That is great carlos, happy to hear that, really, it is a great tool, and we need a bug tracker for these issues we all be updated about all bugs, priority, time frame to fix… etc

please start by making the update button work on mobile version, it is essential function, and it work on desktop, but not mobile!
