[SOLVED] This forum is hacked!

Hello,

when you check this forum with google chrome and look at the lower left corner, you see many accesses to external sites. Some cookies are thereby created or downloaded proxy scripts …

That comes from this code in the website that does not belong there:

I have now reported the problem several times by pn, but so far the problem has not been eliminated, so this public message …

To the admins of this forum: look at this thread in the vbulletin support forums for a solution … Click! And please take care of it!

when this iframe is serious, I am the emperor of china …

(I run even big forums with vbulletin and I know that does not belong there.)

I run big forums but not on VB. But I got hacked too once. Load’s of ‘beautiful woman’. Well… depends :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sorry about this, guys… Yes, the forum have been atacked. There was links on the copyright text variable. They were removed on 09/11. I thought this issue was solved, but they reapeared on the “above footer” variable for ADs. I just removed them.

I will be looking the forum a little more to see if these iframes still appear over here.

The disadvantage of VB is that it is one of THE main targets for hackers (and so is IPB, PHPBB and a few others. SMF seems to hold its own pretty well).

The advantage of vB (not VB = Visual Basic) is the large spread. Thus, problems are more likely to be recognized. There are always two sides … ;-). SMF was here before vB and was constantly flooded with spam …
