what is the purpose of SYNCHRONIZE TABLE entry in Application properties ? I see no use of that

Hello,

If you alter your table, adding, removing, changing columns name you need to synchronize its schema with your SC application.

so is this Bi-DIRECTIONAL synchronization, or it is always synchronized from DICTIONARY to APP ?
