Quick Search cannot works on Text Auto-Complete field, Why?
I also seem to have this issue. If the field is a simple text field, no problem. As soon as I make it a select or Text Auto-Complete field, Quick Search no longer searches that field.
I have the same problem in SC 8.1, any ideas?
