Theme copy / migration

Can’t find an answer to this in the forum, so hopefully someone can help out. I’ve created a theme that works fine in Project A. I’ve now started Project B, but want to be able to use the theme I created in Project A. I’ve copied it and saved it under Project, under Public and even under User - and can see all three of the copies under the groups when looking at Themes in Project A. But when I open up Project B, I don’t see the Theme listed at all. Is there a way to get the theme available in Project B? Even if it’s certain files to manually copy, that would be a help. Took me a long time to create the theme initially and I’d rather not have to do it again…if I don’t have to <grin>

Have you added the theme to your project? When you create a new project you need to select the themes which are to be used in your project. i guess you haven’t done that?

Hi Albert,

You’re correct, it didn’t show in my initial list when creating the project (because I hadn’t saved the theme as Public yet). Then I closed Project B, opened Project A, saved the theme as Public, opened up Project B and couldn’t see it as an available Theme. I guess there’s no way to get the Theme other than when you first create a project?

Since I had only created one form, I deleted the project and started a new one. This time I do see the Theme available at creation time - so I selected it and now it appears we’re all set. Would still be nice to be able to migrate themes from other projects after we’ve created a project, but if not available yet, probably low on the priority list =)

I think that if you go to project _> properties the theme would be available for select or sometimes you need to logout and logon again. I useually do this when I have made some database changes. But it’s good that it now works :wink:
