In case anyone from SC is looking in, can you please take note and perhaps provide fixes for the following:

[li]Applications without names - every application I create finishes up with one application that doesn't have a name. It cannot be "renamed", nor can it be deleted[/li] [li]If a project contains an application without a name, it cannot be deleted (no permissions), despite that the user wanting to delete it is the user who owns the project[/li] [li]The calendar needs an event or trigger to notify the application that the user has moved a calendar event. Without such functionality the calendar cannot be taken seriously[/li]

It is a refresh problem…! I you close the project and re-open helps

I’ve got a whole bunch of these things now that I cannot get rid of.

I have never seen this myself. Where do you see the application with no name?

The solution for this problem is

[li]Export the project[/li] [li]Import the exported project under a new name[/li]

It seems applications without names are not exported.

I have never seen this myself. Where do you see the application with no name?

Seriously, I’m getting this frequently. It must happen during the application creation stage; I create a new app, step through to the final SAVE. Nothing seems to happen, but when I go to the application list a blank application without a name will be at the top of the list.

I suspect it is something in the sequence of steps I’m using it that’s causing the problem.

Initally I had the same problem…! I tried reinstalling the SC and updated…! Now i am not facing…

Can try reinstalling SC…! and check

Yes … a horse with no name. (smack, I believe)

When I have quirky problems like that, I will reinstall the latest version. Be sure to save your current install to a temp DIR so you can bring over any libraries,templates. etc. that are yours.

I would recommend to backup everying using backup and Export specific project in a safe location and do reinstall-

nameless applications? wow … the application name is one of the primary key in the database :-p

Project, project version, application name :-p

I really dont know have you create an application with no name. And with that, you cant delete your project due to the relationship. You cant delete a parent row is there is child. :-p

Weird. If you ask me a solution … probably i open the scriptcase database, open the table sc_tbapl … try to find and delete the nameless application. Off course backuping the databse to dont mess anything :-p

This problem seems to have gotten some attention in recent updates. At least I can now delete an application that doesn’t have a name.
