Would it be possible to create a text autocomplete field that will not restrict user to enter anything with or without selecting one from dropdown.

sorry it is not clear enough (at least for me), especially that the auto complete can be pointed to a table, but finally the user can select from the displayed data, could you give example or explain a bit more?
