Upgrade renewal - should I renew

My license is due for renewal. I am asking myself the question - should I pay for the renewal?

The product is good and I would like to love it. But I am generally not happy with SC’s approach to us users. They seem to have no interest in the users here. Most of my suggestions and bug reports have not even been acknowledged.

So the question I ask myself is: Should I persevere and put up with poor customer support, or should I save myself the aggravation and look elsewhere?

I have the same issue - except that I upgraded v8 to the 2nd level license to include more than mysql dbs - have never used those other databases - would like to downgrade and they tell me I am not able to go back to just mysql - unless I start a new account - in which case I lose the benefits of the v8 license - which I am not even sure what the benefit is. Not sure that I understand how v9 license works; do my apps stop working if I don’t pay the annual fee? I can’t afford the v9 license upgrade; my husband and my mother are both ill and I have not been working as much as normal and haven’t made any money on scriptcase apps.

The only advantage of our old plan is, if you don’t upgrade, your SC still works. But that is not much benefit if you still want upgrades.

I am thinking of going on the new plan at the lowest rate, as I only use MySQL.

Interesting that no-one commented on my post. Not even SC themselves.
