Upgrade using manual installation - Next doesn't do anything

Scriptcase 9 Installation

I have a current license for SC9.
I tried to update my version but it didn’t work. So I did the manual update using the instructions provided.

i found that my scriptcase folder is here: C:\Program Files\NetMake\v9\wwwroot
So I renamed the scriptcase folder to scriptcase_prior.
Then I renamed the unzipped scriptcase folder to scriptcase as per the instructions and put it here. So now I have:

[ATTACH=CONFIG]n83713[/ATTACH]

So now I run the desktop icon I have for SC9. It asks me to select language (English) and then I see the screen in the picture below. The problem is that Next doesn’t do anything. Also clicking any of the Enable buttons do not do anything either.

I am stuck. Can you help - what should I do to get it working? Uninstall and re-install??

I am having same issue today installing 9.1.005 onto a 64 bit linux server. I can click next after selecting the language but then the enable and next button on the DB screen does not work.

I am seeing errors in the developer console of chrome.

For me it is Windows - tried Firefox and Chrome. Both give the same result, i.e. Next does not work. So SC update cannot be installed.

Any ideas?

I happened to have a download of version 9.1.003 and I was able to install from that OK. But now I can’t update that one to the latest (still 9.1.005). I wonder if something is wrong with 005? Hopefully they will have anew version today?

I wrote to SC support and got this solution - it worked for me :slight_smile:

Hello sir, to install the version 9.1.005 you can follow the step below:

When on the page that the button next don’t works, you can write on the browser the link: 127.0.0.1/cws.php

After this, the installation will be completed.

What you have to do, is erase in your URL in the browser back to your domain name. So if you are stuck on the database config screen, backspace and add that php page like: www.mywebsite/cws.php

It goes right to the login screen - which then worked of for me :slight_smile:
