V7 : Version 1 : Upload Files is not working

Hello,
I use a mysql-database with one table document.
The table only contains a primary key, a longblob field and a field for the filename.

If I want to upload a file I get different wrong behaviours :
Upload file is a *.doc progressbar is shown… but nothing happens Filesize 100 kBytes
Upload file is a *.docx progressbar NOT shown … nothing happens… Filesize 2 MBytes
Upload file is a *.txt progressbar NOT shown … nothing happens… Filesize 2 MBytes

I defined no limitation to ending of filename

Are there other users with the same problem … or is it a problem of my configuration ??
Did anyone test the new upload function with progressbar

Best regards
Uwe Pfeiffer

Hi pFeiffer i can’t either use the upload function.

Upload not working SC version 7.00.0001

 • Using a control application: upload fields (for 1 or multiple files) doesnt work (sc7).
 • Using a form application: upload field for 1 file (without using multiple files option) doesnt work in (sc7).

Note: Just in this case is working the upload field

 • Using a form application: upload field with multiple files option is working (Like in the SC7 examples)

Hello,

What sort of file are you trying to upload (.doc, .txt…)? Does the filename contains any special char? Have you tried to upload a “simple” file such as test.txt?

Issue reported to our bugs team for further testing.

Hello,
the filename does not contain special characters… even test.txt is not working.

I was trying to upload jpg and png files without special chars.

SC7 force you to configure the multiple file options, if you leave blank you cant save changes, but in some cases i only need an upload field just for 1 file like in SC6, but i cant accomplish this like in the screenshot.

Thanks for the feedback.

@hirambq, I can’t see your screenshot. It is too small.
