But are there any issues having 6 and 7 deployed on same production environment

No, at runtime these are only php applications and Scriptcase is not there. I run several applications on the same production server and I used to have 6 and 7 together. But you cannot mix 6 and 7 whithin the same application, but I’m sure you know that.
