Hallo Everybody,

First reaction on V9 is positive. I had no trouble with installing, conversion and deploying etc…The new look-and feel is ok.

Some remarks:
I installed the US version, but on many places I see the Portuguese language.
And the help I donot understand. I cannot click on the topic to see the detailed information. So I use the help from V8.

I really hope there are no contraints (bugs) to work with V9 for production applications…we will see. Problem is that there is no conversion backwards to V8.

I have the feeling that everything works faster, but I am not sure…

HI thanks for the post.

BTW. i have never performed a conversion from i.e v7 -->v8

How is it done? i can’t manage to find a video about it.also the webhelp does not contain a section on this.

Also: if i convert the project from 8 to 9 and i have the two SC available in my laptop (8 and 9) is the project still available in the 8 in case anything goes wrong or my project does not work on SC9?

To start with the last. Yes the project stays available in V8. No problem.

But the point is, that when you develop a while in V9 and want to get back to V8, your work in V9 has to been done again. Mostly not so much work, because the PHP scripts you can copy and paste, but the forms etc you have to redo.

But in the moment I donot see any reason to go back to V8

Conversion from V7 to V8 -> there is a menu in the software, the same as in V9 to do this. Simply fill in the path to the V7 and that’s it.
But you could also do “one stop shopping” from V7 to V9.

I have to learn Portugese for sure…But do I read something like an Internal Server Error?
