Yes, if this happen, or for some reason you are using a proxy or a firewall that is blocking some sites. You can change one line in file scriptcase.ini located in scriptcase/devel/conf/scriptcase.
Change the line <sys_upd_warn>A</sys_upd_warn> to <sys_upd_warn>N</sys_upd_warn>
Be aware that doing this the ScriptCase won’t check anymore for updates.
But you can update it without problems.
I think that a timeout should be implemented, so if the SC application doesn’t connect after 5-10 seconds, it just throws a ‘cant check for updates check your network connection or proxy settings’ error and continue to load the application.
