Hi, I am just curious to know what is the road map for SC for version 10 and what features we can expect from that? Any preview here will help the customer like me a lot.
You’re wasting things. Even at Scriptcase they do not know what will be all in version 10.
They know what will be in version 9.2
I just got an email about a demo of SC9.2. I don’t think an SC10.0 is coming any time soon. 9.2 will be the next version. It appears they are taking a more conservative, iterative approach on upgrading for a while. That seems good to me IMHO, as it hopefully should reduce bugs, etc.

In general within a short period of time. Nobody knows exactly, sometimes they suspend because of some issues. We’ll have to be patient. What does the new release offer that you need so desperately?

Do you know if everyone who has 9.1 will get upgrades to 9.2? Don’t people who have a version, like 8 or 9, get continuous updates regardless? Or do some get ‘stuck’ on a particular version (like 9.1.009) due to licensing and then never get to update? I had someone ask me about updates (9.1.001 to 9.1.002) verses upgrades to new versions (8 to 9…). I wonder if SC considers 9.2 an update or a new version?

PS The new feature I noticed was the signature field supported in 9.2 in forms. I happened to be pondering how to implement electronic signatures here and then I saw that

Talking about 9.2
I am particularly interested in select2 component. I am asking form my very beginning to have a multi select autocomplete type field in forms, because double select is very unconfortable and error prone.

As far as I know everybody with an active subscription will be able to download SC 9.2. that was presented yesterday. If you have not renewed your license than I don’t think you will be able to install. Licensing has changed to a subscription model.
V9 has a sign module, but it’s an implementation of a javascript library. Easy to find if you google a bit.
Is It me or even with 9.2 the autocomplete multiselect is not supported?
I was hoping that given select2 capabilities netmake would have implemented.
I was able to get the select 2 to work on a prexisting form that had been just a normal select field. It all seems to work. Essentially a text area for typing in an on-the-fly search of the list of things to select. A dynamic list appears below.
My only problem so far with it is when the form is in a dash widget, the select search and list can sometimes appear above the control. This goes ‘above’ the top of the widget screen and is not viewable. Still works when I type in text.

We are not planning to release a “Version 10” for now. We only change the major version when we also need to change the whole environment(PHP 5.6 to PHP 7 for example). We choose that path to avoid the major changes, so you guys don’t need to convert projects.
The new features are now being released more frequently within Scriptcase 9, as they are being developed and released, as we did with 9.1 and 9.2. So the updates will be smoother.
To ensure access to the new features, you just need to keep your license active and your Scriptcase updated.

Yes it works. i don’t say the opposite. but it does not add a real plus, IMHO, respect to the old auto-complete or select (speaking from the final user perspective).
i hoped that in this release at last with this new feature (select2) netmake would have finally implemented autocomplete multi-select
(see here ) since Select2 also supports multi-value select boxes.
When you have a lookup table with many values to choose from, and more than one value to select double select is not a handy solution. i keep receiving complains from customers who find double select very unconfortable and error prone. (and the are right in my opinion).
Many other RAD have this feature in forms for a long time now, and yet still nothing in SC.
