After thirty years of coding there’s one thing I have learnt; patience. :slight_smile: and avoid development platforms that have version numbers ending in .00 <g>

Scriptcase have all the features that I want BUT it should be better if in V6 add a true Wysiwyg Report Builder

I can’t see myself rushing into the new version; my original decision to buy SC bas made on version 4, but by the time I stopped procrastinating I finished up with an early version of 5. Nothing but problems. I think it was was about six months before I managed to do anything meaningful.

Then 5.1 broke a bunch of stuff.

It’s only in recent times that I see reasonable stability. And we’re now into version 5.2.039!? Code generation still has some problems, as I highlighted here.

If I were to take version 6 up early I’d want to be sure it could co-exist with v5.2.nnn

In fairness, this isn’t just a problem for SC; there are other development platforms I have used or do use where the next greatest version proved to be anything but…

I suppose that SC 6 will be released in these days. I would to know if this is true, because I have installed a new Suse Linux Server in order to run the new version of scriptcase.

Tests are goin fine, we are a bit ahead of our schedule, but unfortunately we dont have a date yet, my personal guess it will be at max begging of december, on the first week.
