Why doesn't net make have an application for bug tracking?

Considering the amount of bugs that are being generated and the amount of time that goes by without any updates

Why would someone not make a bug database so that the community can see progress or lack of

Seems to me this would give end users the backing of net make they need

Something should be done on this in the near future

Nice idea!

It is a good idea and I have mentioned it several times. Also offered to host a list on scriptcase.eu Problem is that the devs are Brazilian and Mantis is filled with Portuguese notes. Best option would be that we as community maintain our own list and keep track if things are corrected. At least we could publish the list of errors on this site from time to time to inform about the status.

Yea, so doing the work for them is the best solution?

If they can generate grids in different languages
What is the issue ?

Just saying this is their responsibility as a company

Moot point nothing will ever happen

Hello Kevin,

I will forward your suggestion to our team.

Bernhard Bernsmann

@Kdriscoll: No it’s not the best solution and it doesn’t mean that we are doing work for them. Scriptcase is reporting all issues in Mantis in Portuguese. The point is that nobody of us as users has any idea about the reported bugs and the status. If we as a community register the reported issues then we will have a public list of reported errors. Every user can see what’s in it. Since this is a published list we can request status because SC will have interest to keep this public list as short as possible. Now a lot of issues are ‘reported for further testing’, but after a short while these issues become unvisible and uncertain regarding the status. So it’s not work for ‘them’, it’s work for us. But let’s see what others think of it. I propose to setup a buglist on every bug that’s brought into the attention of SC with a date, issue and status/followup. Acknowledged fixes are removed from that list. If nobody sees the advantages of this, I simply won’t do it.

I apologize if I upset you
Was just giving my point of view

Hi Albert,

good idea, but …

… who verifies that the error has been corrected or not?

Scriptcase needs to do that. I will communicate the list on a regular basis with Scriptcase. If issues are solved I trust the user who has reported the problem will verify it. I’m not sure if Scriptcase likes this, but unless they have a better idea… I don’t think that they will open Mantis and translate all to English. It’s something to start with.

@Kdriscoll, I am not upset. I too have sometimes trouble of getting things straight here. But the current situation of bugs reported without a proper feedback annoyes me. I hope to improve that. I have direct contact with some people working at SC. If it isn’t needed or doesn’t work it’s easy to stop.
