That is a bad setting in this vbulletin I think… actually it is a bug in the latest vbulletin…
vBULLETING is a total crap! Even things that worked in the past do not work anymore, bugs are everywhere. What’s the worst is that the ADMIN ignores the problems and does not even get involved in any bug related conversation. There is probably a dozen other free FORUM systems so I really do not understand why NetMake wants to deal with something that is such a piece of garbage. Of course admin did not even bothered to check if the new version is free from major bugs!
I request ADMIN to change forum software ! seriously I HATE vBulleting as you do !
I must admit that I have major problems moderating this forum as it completely works differently then the previous one. While deleting spam I even deleted the whole thread unfortunately. Some threads even become empty. So yes, the forum looks fresh, but I don’t like it eather.
+1 +1 +1 …
I wasnt responsible for the forum change, but I understand the choice.
We decided to keep vbulletin because we was using it before and we didn’t want people to be lost using a whole new forum, like aducom kinda is right now.
For me it is also odd to use this, but I belive its just a matter of time.
Hi Cavadinha,
The problem is not the fact that it works differently as we can get used to that. The issue is that the forum is not working well. Moderating is difficult and works completely different. You cannot upload images. If you use code blocks the text is formatted as one single line which makes it unusable. I’m only not sure if this is a vbulletin bug issue or just a matter of configuration.
I am back to the forums (slowly) and I am also struggling sometimes.
The previous vBulletin was working fine, so I think the new one came with a few bugs here and there.
If I had to choose I would go with MyBB which is free and is awesome.
I think there are better paid options too, but well… I will try to argue on changing it.
I think the option to upgrade the vBulletin was also to stick with all the previous threads. I don’t know if the databases would work with other softwares.
At least it’s great that we have one of the devs back here! I appreciate that very much.
