Download file from control app

Hi
How can i download a file from control app

I’ve a file field, stored in the file system, the name is stored in the datebase.
In a standard form it works, but in a control app, it doesn’t work. In the load event I get the file name and I assign it to the file field, but the file is not downloaded whe I click on the field.

I don’t know what is the utility of the file field in control applications… the field saves the file, but it is not downloadable by itself.
